Hi Bandicoot.
Unfortunately, toenail fungus is difficult to treat because your feet are warm, in a dark environment and moist. Abnormal pH level of the skin, trauma to the nail, unhygienic feet and decreased immunity of the body permit this disease.
There are many highly successful non-surgical treatments for fungus toenails that give long term relief by treating the abnormal infection. To treat toenail fungus apply tea tree oil to all areas of the toenail and toe that are affected by the fungus. Garlic has also been shown over the years to be a great way to fight even the most persistent cases of toenail fungus. Griseofulvin too has been shown to eliminate toenail fungus after continued use for one year. This safe non-toxic all natural formula helps eliminate toenail fungus or fingernal fungus while the nail grows. You can also try soaking your nails in band-aid in oregano oil. You should see a podiatrist who can take a culture of the nails - it is my advice.

Your toe nail infection is a sign of a deeper issue. This fungus is actually running throughout your body. You need to begin with a cleanse, (fast for a day), drink water and clear teas, then you need to begin to utilize a healthier diet. That means, NO MEAT, NO PROCESSED SUGAR OR GRAIN. I can't stress enough how much stress these foods put on your body. This particular fungus is connected to a yeast infection and parasites that live in the intestines. These microbiological elements have really run rampant in the body. I have included a website for Macrobiotics, below. This way of life and eating has helped me to reduce my insulin intake by half, my eyesight has improved, a toe that was turning black is pink and healthy now, and I've had lots of other successes and changes for the better in regards to my health.
In the interim, try soaking the feet in a hot ginger bath, (recipe below), which will increase the circulation in the feet. Then you need to get them out in the sunshine. The sun is actually a better antibacterial than anything over the counter. I would suggest 20 - 30 minutes per day. If you don't have any sunlight, don't worry about it, just continue with this as soon as you can. You should see a marked improvement within a week to 10 days.
Ginger foot Bath:
1 large ginger root, enough to grate and make a ball the size
of two golf balls.
A doubled over piece of cheesecloth approx. a 4 in. square.
Grate ginger onto cheesecloth, close up the sides and tie
the top so that it becomes a closed "bag" of ginger.
Squeeze the "bag" into 8 cups of water and bring to a
boil, dropping the bag into the boiling water. Boil
about 10 minutes. Pour into a large shallow pan, large
enough for your feet to go into. Put your feet into the
ginger water when it is cool enough. *You need to have
the water as hot as you can stand it.
You should have someone rub your feet daily, if you can't reach them. If you can, you need to rub them daily and do not use any lotion on them, it will only slow down the circulation and clog the pores. You can also take one garlic tab 4 times a day with meals and at bedtime to kill the fungus in the intestine. Frequently I see this type of thing in people who eat beef frequently.
If this doesn't help, then you need to contact a podiatrist and have them examine your feet and determine if there is another medication that will help, like Flagyl. I certainly hope that this helps and that you do consider a different lifestyle that will support your health, not only for your feet, but also for the rest of your body. Good luck, my friend.
