LOl, yeah I do it all the time.
There is a band called Cocteau Twins that my Dad got me into when I was little. When we used to drive on holidays and stuff, I used to sing along. My Dad told me they were French, so I made up all of these nice french lyrics to their songs....only to find out a little while ago that they are scottish and all the lyrics are in English !!!!!! Doh !!!
I personally think my lyrics suited the music much more...

Aaah, the story of my life! I don't think I've ever gotten the lyrics to my favourite songs right!! Oh well, who really cares? I function on the theory that if you can't sing well, then sing loud!!

My husbands hearing must be way off because he's always done this.Diana Ross's my foolish heart, was heard as Bicycle clops.I know it doesn't make sense.
PIilots It's magic became it's a hat trick.
There are so many more that I can't bring to mind right now but it really cracks me up and he gets really embarrassed.

We consistently sing "Auld Lang Syne" on the hours of darkness because of the fact the recent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days chimes in. I in no way knew the finished worda until eventually these days. this is the custom:- take a glance on the video. Bells chime and all people crosses hands to sing in the recent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. those are the words to Auld Lang Syne, with word record for those much less obtrusive Scots words on the top. AULD LANG SYNE words adapated from a nicely-known track by utilising Rabbie Burns (1759-ninety six) ought to auld acquaintance be forgot, and in no way introduced to concepts? ought to auld acquaintance be forgot, And auld lang syne? refrain: For auld lang syne, my costly, For auld lang syne, we will tak a cup of kindness costly, For auld lang syne! And certainly ye'll be your pint-stowp, And certainly i'm going to be mine, And we will tak a cup o kindness yet, For auld lang syne! We twa hae run with regard to the braes, And pou'd the gowans advantageous, yet we've wander'd monie a weary in advantageous condition, Sin auld lang syne. We twa hae paidl'd in the burn Frae morning sunlight until eventually at last dine, yet seas between us braid hae roar'd Sin auld lang syne. and there's a hand my trusty fiere, And gie's a hand o thine, And we will tak a right guid-willie waught, For auld lang syne. Then ballons and streamers everywhere.

Yes. One of the most memorable for me was in "Three lions" by Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds. For years I sang "Jewels remain still gleaming" instead of "Jules Rimet still gleaming".
