The United States had intervened so much in the affairs of the countries in the Middle East parlicularly, Iraq, Iran and Israel. The problems in the Middle East can be traced to the US intervention.

He is asking if we believe what he has quoted. And I must say that it certainly appears that way. The U.S. has always had its foot in the Middle East and now it is there in to ta, with its own excuse for being there, an excuse they created themselves. It does not seem to matter to this administration that so many lives have been lost. To them it is all worth it since it appears they will be in the region for a long time. After all, we have flexed our mighty muscles and shown the world what we are capable of. We have used unconventional weapons, we can't (at least not now) be prosecuted for war crimes; we s e l e c t i v e l y prosecute our own troops when expedient, while the higher ups salivate the gifts of freedom; we have convinced those in the region that we NEED to remain in Iraq indefinitely because of "terrorists" who BTW, weren't there when we invaded. We have, amongst other negatives, occupied, pilfered, killed indiscriminately. We have forced millions to flee the region and have uprooted the seeds of terror amongst the Iraqi people who are still there, and yet,
we deny that we are the cause of the continuing chaos and growing world hated for our policies and our actions.

Ya, if we'd just quit buying their oil they'd be so much better off, what with all their other resources, like sand.
