No, it won't keep you from getting pregnant. In reality, virtually no one is regular. Don't worry.

My wife used to have one once every 4 to eight months, and we have three children.

6 months is not normal. go see your doctor as this could be a hormonal disorder. you didn't give any other information, so it is difficult to know if you have any other symptoms that could also be involved with this. are you gaining weight? are you losing sleep or tired a lot? There are many things, such as hormone issues and stress, that could cause this and it usually isn't a permanent problem....however, that doesn't mean you should not visit the doctor. You may need hormone replacements or it could be some other medical condition, but this is def not normal.

You normally simply had a fluke cycle in January. Congratulations for your being pregnant! It isn't unparalleled to have a interval or a few bleeding in early being pregnant, however very infrequent except it was once very mild or now not traditional of your usual per month bleeding.

yes, it does.

If you are carrying extra weight, lose it. This will help your period return. If your periods are still irregular after losing weight, see your doctor. You may have a disorder that keeps you from ovulating (like PCOS), and makes getting pregnant impossible (without medical assistance).

Good luck!

My ex-girlfriend had irregular periods. She said that the doctor said it wasn't an affliction and that some women have a menstrual cycle without the bleeding part. Check http://www.drkoop.com for answers

The first thing you need to do is see a doc and find out what is going on. You should have seen a doc a couple of months ago. Find out what is going on and get this corrected.

If it's 6 months late, maybe you are pregnant.

It can keep your from ovulating. I would suggest you go see a doctor and they can do a test to see if you are ovulating if not they will probably put you on something if you are wanting to get pregnant.

see an ob-gyne doctor because you might have hormonal imbalance which causes irregularities on your menstrual cycle.. don't fret that you might not conceive.
