I am wondering why smiles aren't as contagious as yawns!

I would say yes because no matter whether on the phone or next to another person it is guaranteed that the other will yawn simultaneous to the prior person.

You yawn, I yawn and then we will all yawn. I can't watch someone yawn and NOT do it myself. It is subconsciously contagious.

i yawn at the drop of a hat.. my brother and sister know this so whenever we are around each other they fake yawn just to make me yawn.. fun times
