Well, I restart my computer because of installations and updates. When my, computer shuts down and restarts, my monitor doesn't open anymore and the yellow light is flickering slowly. When I press the reset button long, that's the only time it turns on and then Windows XP starts up and then the normal SOPs. What should I do for this not to happen again? It's been happening a long time now and I've asked a lot of questions lately about my ****** computer. I've reformatted it for the 3rd time since March 9, by the way since I've had these other problems http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtqpedmBmhNlQSlHHtsQgP4gBgx.?qid=20070316185047AAGZ07i http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuZAOqN_4IMWU3z560H_ckwgBgx.?qid=20070317054131AAdscc9 . Please help!!!!!!!!

Bad install or update. F8 to start in safe mode, then remove the offending stuff that you just installed.

Well I followed your first link and I think you simply need a new monitor. Got to a used parts computer store and there you are, up and running.

I would suggest that you go into device manager and under monitor see how many drivers are listed, delete them all but one and see if that helps, if not, then delete your monitor from the device manager and have it redect it and install a driver.
