Iranian general warns enemy not to make any crazy moves

Tehran Times Political Desk
TEHRAN -- Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi said here on Friday that if the bullying enemy wants to do something “crazy” it will surely be surprised by the firing power of the Iranian armed forces.

“Now, Iran’s defensive abilities are incomparable to the time of the Sacred Defense (1980-88 Iran-Iraq war),” Salehi said at a ceremony held for inaugurating the new projects of army ground forces.
The Iranian military has developed a new air defense system with a boosted ability to hit targets by firing two missiles simultaneously, AFP quoted Iranian state radio as saying.

“This new air defense system which can shoot one or two missiles simultaneously... has been designed by army ground forces and tested successfully,” the radio said.

The thing is they have the armed forces to back up the mouth.
The Iranian regular armed forces has an estimated 420,000 troops in three branches: Ground Forces, 350,000 troops; Navy, 18,000 sailors; and Air Force, 52,000 airmen. If you include the Revolutionary Guard they have upward of 540,000- 4 time the US forces in Iraq now.
There is a saying were I am from originally. It goes like this, " when you hand is in the lion's mouth, take your time and take it out"

Is there a question here? I really don't see a question here.
I don't want to see us get into any conflict with Iran. But I do remember Saddam proclaiming the mother of all wars. One or two missiles simultaneously? We have nuclear missiles with four or five warheads on each one. I believe they're called MIRVS? Multiple Reentry Vehicles. We have aircraft that are invisible to radar. And your missiles would never find them in order to shoot at them. You would do well to make your leaders understand that it isn't wise to taunt a wounded lion.

Iran will indeed be a more formidable enemy than Iraq was. They will likely take two weeks to destroy instead of one.

That said (and remember I told you this, when it happens) their greatest capacity (threat to us) is their surface-to-ship missiles.

But then, we will hold WAY off the cost. They will, however, sink a ship or two. Bigger yet, they will disrupt oil tankers for weeks, and sink quite a few of those.

And that, sir, will be the headline news during any conflict with Iran. And they know it. The oil supply disruption via surface-to-ship missiles.

God damn it... i just hope nobody invades nobody... what the hell... The guys are trying to build a nuclear plant. I can't say they don't want a nuclear bomb, but I can say the program was under Russian surveillance.

Nonetheless... i just hope US won't attack any other country.
Everyone in the world hates us.. you go to Europe.. they hate us.. Britain, France.. Italy.. they all hate us for what we're doing to this world...

Can't we just stop spending money into the army and put them in social programs such as: free college ! free university ! free medical care!
They have it in Europe, why not here ?

That reminds me of this guy...

"Shut up you minion, you [US] agent, you monkey. You are addressing Iraq," said Izzat Ibrahim, the second-in-command of Iraq's Revolutionary Command Council. - March 5, 2003, to the Kuwaiti representative of the Islamic Summit.

it's only a matter of a few years before the Government of Iran makes a big mistake and then they get to see what a real military can do.
