on your clothing like for example if someone tells you nice shirt what do you usually say? "I tend to say I know I like it too" and then kick myself for not just saying thank you. Is there anything else to say after the thank you?

Now I just smile and say 'thanks
You should watch the movie Mean Girls, the meanest girl when given a compliment replies with 'yeah, I know, right?'
Bet you'll never say it again after you hear how it sounds!
