For me it does not matter at all. NOT AT ALL. But for some maybe it does. I don't know....
It just like accumulate points.. at the end of the day you wont get anything from YA Malaysia.
So for those hooligans who gave thumbs down it’s because they does not like you and can’t accept others opinion as well. Everything you answer must be in a nice sweet praise flower words then only you could get thumbs up.
That's the Malaysian style can’t accept bad comments.

I was just reading in the Answers community gudelines that people who target certain people and repeatedly give them thumbs downs are called "point gamers," and will be subject to suspension from Yahoo Answers. I didn't know it myself, but a point is deducted for every "thumbs down" you get, so use it judiciously. Also people who create muliple id's to give themselves extra votes for best answer are also being targeted and also called point gamers, and will be subject to suspension or even exclusion from Yahoo Answers. I'm guilty of using many thumbs downs myself, I guess I'll reserve it for truly terrible or wrong answers.

Hahaha.. Not me for sure but since I am in here, I would like to say something to the Asker... Why be so bothered with the thumbs up or down? Life still goes on...
BTW, I forgot to ask, how come you know that someone has reported you?? Thru email? Ignore me if you dun want to answer...

It doesn't matter. Otherwise they wouldn't have the thumbs down column. And those who report someone are narrow minded, sensitive pigs.

Ask yourself why? No one will report you for no reason. Maybe you should 'disappear' for a while to cool down yourself and let the people that reported you to better enjoy the yahoo!answer without you......and cool down as well.

people tend to report someone if they dislike the person. Anyway to answer your question, it doesn't bother me at all...just take things one day at a time, if they give you thumbs down its because they don't understand your answer or they just hate ya....don't take it seriously..you're not going to win any house or car if you get a thumbs up anyway. I usually give a thumbs down if the answer is abuse or not relevant to the question asked...
