anybody had this problem. Obviously it cant read, etc. because if u push it in, it opens back up. i tried downloading drvers but when i click on cd/dvd/rw it cant find it
Plus i never made my recovery disks and its now off warrenty

The button you use to open the drive is stuck. You need to replace the drive, or try to unjam the button.....
I learned a trick in the Navy that might help, try giving the button a few good whacks, just dont use a hammer, and shut the computer off when you do this. When the computer is on, and you jolt the pc, the reading mechanism in the hard drive can scratch the disk, if the pc is off, the reading mechanism is placed in a cradle to protect the disk from being scratched....

It looks like a hardware problem, you may have to replace the cd/dvd drive
