Getting drivers license in georgia at 18?

Im 18 years old and never got my permit before. Does anyone know if i need to get a permit before i get my license. And if i do, do i need to wait the full 12 monthes to get my license or does the graduated license thing only apply to minors.

Once you turn 18 you only need a permit if you dont know how to drive. you can just take your driving test f your 18
