Take a taxi or jeepney to the Ortis st. landing. There is a tcket booth at the foot of the pier. Fare is 12 pisos and I doubt you'll wait more than 15 min until the ferry is loaded and take you across (15 min). If you have a large group you can rent the ferrys for a special trip for P250 and they all go to Jordan wharf of Guimeras.
The island is reasonably cleaned up after the oil spill and there is a recovery ship sucking out the remaining bunker fuel as we speak. They are supposed to be finished by the end of the month.
If you want a nice, but not expensive beach resort go to Villia Igang behind John B. Lacon college. Fan rooms start at only P 500 per night. Nice beach and coral cave and the food is native, cheap, but nice.

From general luna, take mandurriao jeepney going to Ortis. That jeep will pass by robinsons through iznart, central market and blanco st. Tell the driver to drop you at Ortiz. Ask the people there about the pier going to Guimaras. The last time I was in Iloilo, the bangka fare is only 7.50. I don't know how much it costs now.
Enjoy!

I even have lived in Iloilo city the previous 5 years and by no ability heard of the placement. i will inform you in case you prefer to bypass to the coastline the closest astonishing seashores are all out in Guimbal (40 min outdoors the city.) I oftentimes bypass to Solimar coastline motel. it is totally properly stored, functional expenses and the nutrition is physically powerful.

search the net which provides you reliable information. Example: if you click tourism in the Philippines, click on Iloilo and provides you all information. Otherwise inquire airlines personnel about your destination plus expenses which is not costly maybe unlike USA.
