the discharge is the mucus plug that all women lose right before labor. the over excitment is the baby getting into possition for the delivery. sounds like you might have a beautiful baby real soon. congratulations

I have three boys, all born at 39 weeks via C-sect. Let me tell ya... the little ones certainly don't have much room to move around. You can't eat much, your tummy is being squished. The baby "going crazy" may be his way of making the "final turn" to get into position for birth. Or if you've "dropped", it might actually be false labor. I had that really bad w/ my first two. It felt as if the baby was making a huge turn but in fact it was just my uterus "practicing" for the real labor. Time these "crazy" episodes. My first had the hiccups so often and so loud others could hear it! I'll never forget that final time... I felt as if I was sitting on the baby's head once he was in position. Oh... and those feet pushing against my chest. I couldn't breathe.
An old wives' tale talks about women having a burst of energy and starts cleaning the house and stuff like that just before the baby comes.
Have somebody rub your belly or back when you're uncomfortable. The baby can feel it and will calm down as well.
Good luck. Time is getting shorter.

This is normal. You are almost due and your baby is getting bigger while the space remains about the same. When your little one is moving you feel him more because there is less space and he is pushing closer to the surface. He is also getting stronger and these pushes are stronger as well. Lack of appetite could be a sign that you should prepare to go into labor. I was induced, but know from allot of my friends that they lacked appetite 2-4 days before going into labor., you might also get more cramps. The discharge you talked about comes form the plug that was in between placenta and the cervix, protect the baby. The plug (not an official name for it) is thinning out allowing you uterus to expand and contract stronger. All of these are signs that you should get your suitcase ready to go. Congratulations and good luck to you.

Just remember that its getting really cramped in there. When I was pregnant I had alot of the same symptoms. At 38 weeks though I was eating 10 very very small meals a day and drinking 3 weight gainer drinks, cause I literally could not get enough food in.

its normal. right now the baby is getting bigger and moving into the birthing position, so theres not to much room for it to move around, lol. and lots of discharge is normal too, its most likely your mucusplug comming out. it can come out in one big blob but it mostly comes out in strings of yucky discharge. it normal, and dont worry the baby will come out i felt the same way. and my baby had the hiccups the majority of my pregnancy thats totally normal too. and ya by now you should be able to feel the baby from top to bottom, feels weird huh?! good luck!
p.s. try squating this helps bring the baby down into position and and help dialation along. i did this the last few monthes of my pregnancy , it DEFINITLY helps!

The baby will move less at the end simply because there is less room to move.
My daughter had the hiccups for the day before she was born, before that she was just sitting still. . . that was a huge contrast to her behavior when she was 25 weeks, we thought she had a nack for river dancing :)

Yes... remember to count your kicks!!! You should be going for weekly check ups, so always #1, listen to your doctor and not the idiots on here that have never had children. You're paying for their advice, so bug the hell out of them if your have questions, that's what they are there for!!!

your baby's living space is reduced by his larger size. this will cause a decrease in movement. he's getting ready for delivery. relax, kick your feet up, and enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy.
