Im 19, college student, recently had surgery on ankle, unable to work, my mom agreed for me to pawn jewelry she doesnt like along with mine, ive never done this before, what are the steps? what if a piece of jewelry is damaged?? Please help, thanks. (Also, do you need paperwork along with jewelry? They are very old, we wouldnt have that available)

plan on getting ripped off basically, plan on the pawnshop giving you no more than a quarter of their real value..plan on a shock when u see how much they will give ~ no u dont need any paperwork~only a photo ID of yourself..they will accept anything of value, damaged or not~

Find some other way to get the money, have a yard sale or something you will probably get more out of doing that than going to a pawn shop.Pawn shops will not give you much of anything for anything. You would do better to find someone to buy some of it, if you don't want it anymore, or selling it for scrap gold might even get you more than the pawn shop.
