War should be stopped and the expenses budgetted therein must be diverted to beneficial projects. Taxation on the low salaried employees must be decreased but increased for high income earners especially the rich ones who have luxurious lives.

Unfortunately, the millitary is necessary. But I know, as does everyone else, that there is a whole lot of spending that is total waste. I think we should revamp the government and return social and law making to the states. The Federal government was never meant to have all the $$ and all the power. It is susposed to be the protector of the country. The states were to have made most of the decissions that the Feds have taken upon themselves.
The state should receive the largest portion of our tax $$, with the feds getting enough to operate and maintain the millitary.

The games they play in congress is disgraceful and we should demand that they get it together.

They, with the help of some media, have convienced us that being successful, $$, should be punished. What no one mentions is that most tax cuts they claim are for the rich effect anyone who has a retirement plan or any kind of investment - that means the guy making $10,000 as well as those making 10,000,000. Besides, isn't success what America is all about?

The congress is so deceitful and out of control. I wonder how long it will take before the people get together and demand change.

I thing if the govoner should stop take these jobs away from people that can work from them, and give jobs to those that can and will work there would less welfare, but not they shouldn't stop try help those that really need the help instead of those that don't really need it. yes they should stop the wars cause its causeing more problems then what it is fixing.and as far as the taxes go its good that there is taxes but they should stop rasining them up so high its hard enough for some people to servive in this world as it is. and there wouldn't be so much war in the world and the war isn't just in iraq its on the naborhood streets just as well.

I'm here to tell you i am a mother of 3 children and i barely can work cause of all of my medical problems but the state don't want to hardly help me with anything, and there is some people just take and advange of the state that don't really need it and they are getting it all.

Taxpayers supporting illegals, cost more than the war in Iraq. I do not mind paying my taxes, my parents and ancestors has for years. I would rather my tax dollars to go our troops and the war, so the troops can do what they were sent there to do, come home in victory, not defeat. As far as welfare, it needs to be cut off to ALL that are not American Citizens period. If a Democrat is elected President, taxes will go very high, this I would not like. As far as Social Security, I think ALL American Citizens who have reach the age of retirement should have their social security, and social security should raise their benefit amounts, after all , they worked hard for it. Illegals from Mexico is the one bankrupting this country, not the war in Iraq. I have been at the store many times, see the huge amounts they have on them welfare cards for food stamps, cash , wic and other things, that total up to a heck of a lot more than my Grandparents social security benefits, Elderly people, who worked their butts off all their life and NEVER took a penny from the welfare system.

I think the Congress would stop living like a new nobility, where they get everything they want without really having to work for it.
Why do you think they fight so to get elected? Just think of all the goodies and perks they get. They even get to set their own salaries and bonuses and travel allowances, etc.
Pay them a part time wage for a part time job. Prohibit any contributions from lobbyists, that will make them sweat.

The government should raise the taxes. If we want our trash to get pick up, if we want to be protected by the police, the taxes pays all of that. It also pays for healthcare and all the services we take for granted.

You should be an anarchist. Why fund social programs when you can just end taxing altogether?

don't get me started...... our taxes go to too much salaries for the senators and reps. our taxes go to welfare (medi-caid, afdc, tanf, food stamps), and not enough to the people who actually work to pay those "fees", not enough to public education, medical care, too much to gov expenses (400$ lunches for 2 people!) there are things we have to spend $$ on, military(0r we would be defensless)....the US gov needs to weed out the my-o-crats.

PS regulate and tax drugs like pot and cocaine...imagine the revenue.....

I think the government should STOP doing things. Less robbery and bloodshed is inevitable if that happens.
