I like this quote because when I get smug it reminds me that nobody is perfect--including me, and it helps when I feel a bit glum on myself because it is so true: imagine wearing a wild outfit in a wild nightclub--then imagine wearing the same outfit to an office party or to church. The outfit--probalby goes over better at the nightclub then at the church--yet--even at the nightclub there will be some who will think it's somehow not right. A few at the church might applaud your individuality--while others might say to them selves ... now there goes an attention seeking lost sort of a soul, for wearing an outfit ike that in a place like this.

among many heard over years, I still favor an old Pink Floyd verse from Dark Side of the Moon lp..."everything under the Sun is in tune, but the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon". Kinda puts alot of things into perspective, in that oftentimes people and things should not be valued by size, fame, wealth or greatness.

I love almost all of Oscar Wilde's quotes because they are all so true, and usually pretty witty. This one is my favorite because I see examples of it everyday, in real life. It is a piece of advice that has served me well over the years as writer and a teacher, and Oscar put it so eloquently.

One of my favorites is a line from t s eliot's "The Wasteland: "I think we are in rats' alley where the dead men lost their bones". Sadly sums up the dark state of affairs for our species, currently.

This is one that I love "Have your people call my people and we'll meet on the roof" Haha me and a friend were talking and our art teacher told us we had to draw rales on our buildings so our people didn't fall off and so I said well I need to fire the man who runs my memory "Bob" and my friend said yeah I need to let a few of my "people" go too. So I said have your people call my people and we'll meet on the roof...........so on my art project I did draw the rales but my person was bungie jumping off the building lol

Live and let live, because there are too many people that are judging others causing them trouble and not minding their own business. I think more people need to mind their own business and not worry what others are doing (unless it affects their life directly to where it causes them to not be able to live the quality of life they are accustom to)
