isn't xbox suppose to have better and a more powerful graphics card than the playstation 3. like xbox had better graphics than the playstation 2. so which has a more powerful graphics card the 360 or the ps3?

There are plenty of good arguments here, so I wont go into detail. I just wanted to express something here that is useful for you.
Graphics aren't everything. Buy the game console based on what games it has, and what games you like.

Obviously the PS3 because of the new cell processor, that's 8 core. The RSX graphics card is so advance ahead of other graphic cards. Go here and watch all the videos above. http://www.playb3yond.com/ It's quite interesting. Trust me I found a big difference on my HDTV I had a xbox 360 sold it wanted the ps3. PS3 Has better graphics by far. Also it's in TRUE HD xbox 360 isn't, I mean come on BLU-RAY and 60gb storage. PS3 has more advantage I don't know why everyone is hating, SONY will release great games they always have and will. Just some are being delayed right now, give it time and you'll see. Oh yeah I forgot about PS3 Home, it will have achievements and a lot more to offer with a free game inside the ps3 store to download to your hard drive. Well the ps3 has dual ati 9600 series and can reach up to 1080P which is higher than 1080I which is what the 360 can handle, so if you can afford the HDMI cable and the High DEF tv then the playstation 3 is better, the X360 has better games right now because the ps3 is still very new. but the PS3 with its ability to download free system updates from your couch(or whereve you play it) it has a nearly unlimited potential for games and gaming. Also the playstation 3 has proggressive scan to prevent sketchiness during gameplay

The PS3 has the best graphics. it does true HD (as long as the game supports it) at 1080p. the highest HD resolution available. but you get it at a cost. the system is the most expensive out there and you need an HD TV to be able to get the full quality of the system. but its not just about the video card in the machine, its about how well the program is written. there are some games that look awesome and other that, in the same system, look like trash. hope that helps.

Don't think of it in terms of graphics think of it as what does each console have to offer.Xbox 360 has the best online markletplace where you can download everything from classic arcade games like Joust and Street fighter to Movie downloads even download some of your favorite shows.Not to mention a better selection of games thanks to sony dropping the ball Xbox 360 is getting exsclusive rights to some of the hottest games out there Such as the new grand theft auto.Another highlight of xbox 360 is their achievement system it adds longetivity to games by giving you Gamer points for fulfilling certain criteria whereas ps3 you beat a game and thats all there is to it.

this is a great question...
The PS 3 does have the better graphics of the two but also runs a lower frame rate so the games dont run as fast as they should
But the 360 the graphics arent as smooth so in reality its up too u to decide
faster gameplay over graphics or vice versa

Okay if you tried PS2 or Xbox you should know this, I don't have an Xbox but I tried it at Target, the control was hard because the controller is big not easy to handle especially for racing games, I prefer the PS3.

Relatively speaking, there's not much of a difference. In this case, I wouldn't buy a console purely based on graphics (since they aren't really noticeably/drastically different). I want a PS3 just because I like the games on that particular console.

The PS3 supposedly has better graphics but the Xbox 360 does have the better graphics. It boasts a lot better features than the PS3 and offers the latest, high-tech, in ATI futuristic graphics technology.

The PS3. But the Xbox is making a comback with the new xbox (I forgot the name). The wii and PS3 will be nothing after Microsoft makes the new Xbox.
