It could just be they're tired of being around each other. I have three rabbits, and two of them had a cage together, but the male kept hitting the other one, and taking her fur off so we seperated them. And they're both doing great now. Our other bunny use to be really aggressive, my brother gave her to us. And he had her in a cat carrier all her life. So when she got to us she was tired of being in that little cage. When we moved her to a huge one she calmed down and let us pet her. I know people say bunnies are lovable and they get along great. But if you got big bunnies I wouldn't keep them in the same cage for too long. Maybe a visit with each other once a day would be just fine and keep them seperated the rest of the time. Hope that information helped you.

How often are you handling the rabbits? Do you spend a lot of time with them each day or leave them in the cage alone most of the time? What gender are they? Have they been spayed/neutered? How old are they? What is the size of the cage? Would really need more info to help you. They could be fighting they could just be scared by you if you only deal with them once a day...
Wanted to add that a male/female unfixed pair is a super bad ideal if you keep them together... not just because of babies but because a female rabbit can and will kill a male rabbit if let together to long....

Grunting is usuallly an anger sign for rabbits. Are they being that way towards each other, or just you? What are they 2 males, 2 females, 1 of each? And are they fixed? Sounds like they're being territorial towards you, and don't want you going in their territory. Is the cage large enough for them? And do they get a lot of "out time" outside of the cage? Might be what I call "cage rage" if they're not let out enough.
Here's a good site with bunny info, this page has a lot of their behavior signs:

some rabbits are more high strung. some just are excited to see you. Some are nervous because you dont spend enough time with them. Some are more aggressive breeds, or I have seen female rabbits do that when they are pregnant. It really depends on the rabbit. They are like people.. they all have different personalities. We had some that were nervous. I played a small radio in the shed where we kept them. THey really calmed down. Then us walking in or opening the shed door, didnt seem like such a shock.

It's not good for rabbits to be kept in pairs regardless of their sex.
Young does can be kept together a bit longer than bucks, 3 months of age max. for the bucks & 6 -7 months for the does.
Rabbits are VERY territorial & will get agressive with each other & you.
Seperate them as soon as possible.
They can really harm each other if left together by chewing on one anothers genitails, blinding each other, pulling patches of fur, biting ears & so on,including death.
Be a responsible owner & seperate them, spend more time with them & give them plenty of things to chew on & to play with. Paper towel tubes or a cardboard box is just fine to play with.
You should feed & water them twice a day. Check what size rabbit you have & feed accordingly.
I have large breeds so they get 1/4 cup in the am & 1/2 cup in the pm. More or less depending on the size/age of the rabbit.

they are tired of being in the small cage all the time. move them to a larger living area. the grunts are their language. they often bite because they like the salty taste of your skin.
my rabbit has free range of my balcony with lots of protected areas and a litter box.

if they are male and female you probably got some bunnies on the way... you should seperate them... they shouldnt stay together if the female is pregnant... thats not good... that would probably explain the agressiveness...

That is natural that they fight with each other. Except there are related to each other or if it’s a male and female. You need to separate them.
