My childhood and teenage years were difficult and I have a bleak outlook on life.

Is it justified that I resent my parents?

EVERYONE goes through difficult situations in their lives, and sometimes inorder to overcome these situations, we look on the brighter side of things, it helps...because at the end of the day, your the only one in control of your emotions and feelings, you can either choose to be unhappy or happy...so when your parents call you "mr air condtioner" which is honestly not the worst name i have ever herd a parent call they child (trust me there meaner things some parents say to their children)...take it easy, relax! lighten up! :)

its definately not something we should resent our parents for, they do alot more for us than we think.

it is never ok to resent ANYONE for ANY REASON. You are only hurting yourself by holding a grduge towards your parents. I suggest you pray that God will give you a forgiving heart towards them. Christ forgave us of our sins and we should forgive others. You are no angel yourself.....and none of us are, so isn't it a double standard to expect your parents to be perfect angels? We all have weaknesses, blind spots and failures.
