You decide, and you are right.
You are the only thing real in the world. But just remember same applies to others. We share the same "outside". But there is only one "inside".
And it's a hard thing to grasp, cause the difference is how you "look" at things. The outside could very well be inside your body...sometimes. And the inside can be a rainbow, outside your body....see what I mean?

Would you really want to know everything? "Everything" implies knowing everything that has ever been known. This includes some of the more gritty facts, and the more disgusting things people are better off not knowing.
To know everything also implies knowing everyone's thoughts. I'd rather not know what some people are thinking.
Also, there is just simply not enough data to tell us what the meaning of life is. If there is a deity, then he/she/it has not passed that data down to us. If there is no deity, then it is very likely that we will probably not ever know what the meaning of life is. That's just how it is.
Finally, if you could know, would you really want to know? What if it was extremely disappointing? We actively seek what we cannot handle. Would be ready for such a revelation? If it was good, then what would you do with that knowledge? To what end would your lust for knowledge go?
In the end, it would consume you. All of your time would be devoted to researching all of the information that the world has to offer. Just think of how much time would be lost on useless trivia. You could do so much more.
So many people are obsessed with knowing everything. Seeking to know, but not using that knowledge to better mankind. Trivial.
One person could not handle all the information in the world. Not now. Nor should anyone ever try.
There is so much you can do with your life besides pursuing a question that will elude you.
Some people say that the answer to this question will only come when you stop looking.
That's all I really have to say on the matter.

LOVE!
Now you know everything. People try to make it so complicated when it's really the most simple thing in the world. The meaning of life is LOVE!
Love yourself.
Love others.
Love the planet & all its creatures.
If you can accomplish these things you will have a beautiful, meaningful life & leave the world a better place. Unfortunately most people don't realize this simple truth & they fail to do at least one or maybe all of the above & so they are miserable, find life meaningless & make the world a little more messed up.
Are you taking notes?! Because I can only answer this question so many times! Tee hee!
THE MEANING OF LIFE IS LOVE!
If you refuse to see that, then you don't love yourself, you don't love others, you are led by negativity, hate & fear & life will appear meaningless & my words are falling on deaf ears.
Now that you know the meaning of life, go out & love it!

What you know, you know in two ways, consciously or unconsciously. Conscious knowledge is knowledge of the usual sort, knowledge turned into linear data (linguistic or mathematical), that, it a stream of symbolic representations, each of which is meant to correspond in some way to some little bit of reality.
___Unconscious knowledge is general familiarity with places and contexts, recognitions, and skill knowledge (knowing "how to do x"), among other things. But this kind of knowledge isn't the kind that you can express fully, or even bring into consciousness in detail.
___In an infinitely complex universe, there are infinitely many relations between things, and infinitely many perspectives, foci of analyses, etc. You could start with a fingernail clipping, and the data stream possible in examining it from all possible standpoints, at all possible scales, and in all possible combinations of parts, would multiply so fast that you'd never make it to the second fingernail clipping.
___Unconscious knowing is better for dealing with complex wholes as wholes, but it would be unsatisfying, since it yields little in the way of details, and little in the way of knowiing what you know. So even if you "knew " everything, you wouldn't know that you knew it.
___Meanings are the kinds of things that attach to sentences, not to lives. Life has a built-in purposefulness, but as to your particular purposes, you'll have to decide those on your own.

You will find out what the meaning of life is when its over. You live each day slowly answering that question and when you pass away it it because you have fullfilled everything you needed to in your life. Life is like a maze you spend trying to find your way to the rewarding prize at the end. Along the way you learn alot of things to help you get there. When you finally reach the end its then and only then you will have discovered what the meaning of life is

Why should we take away the effort you alone must make to find what you seek? This will be a life time of searching with ever more new things to be discovered.
Have fun and get up your but. :)
Plus reading alone will not make you "knowing". Experiencing can help here a great deal.
Cheers LIS

Just look at the sun ! How bright and hot it is. For whom it is ever shining ? For you lad, just pray to that illumination to guide you throughout your day. Do it in the morning. The whole day will be bright as the sun itself.
