Mr.Scott,do tell your friend that the lust only last till they realize that they hurt someone else. It will not matter how long she's been married to him,all she can think about is this new man that's she have. If there were no children, then the two must have drifted apart at some point that caused her to think that this other man was "it".
Affair can ruin a lot of people cause it ruined mine and my kids and its not a good picture to paint. Lots of people, esp.innocent will pay for it because of their lust....I ho[e that she will realize that doing this is not making her happy not satisfied in bed.....

the lust phase lasts about 18 months i have read, but why would he want her back? she may never realize she made a mistake, even if he did take her back, there may be a next time.

there's no universal timeline here!. probably until she gets her fill. But, it may be safe to say this marriage is over.also , you may not know as much as you think. she may have had every reason to leave. he may have given her every reason.do they have kids ? they'll be the one's to really suffer!..weakness, or temptation, what ever the case. You just don't throw away 17 yrs. of marriage just like that. that's the problem w/ so many people today........no one wants to work things out , they took vows , but i guess they mean nothing. what a shame!!!

MID LIFE CRISIS...or menopause.. Either way its like when the Big Fat Bald Guy goes and buys the shiney new corvette, until the new wears off and you see that it only gets 5 miles to the gallon..Then she will go back to the Old Faithful Stationwagon.

Its hard to say. You don't know what went on in their house. He may have been a real d*ck to her. Maybe she's finally happy. But greener-grass-syndrome usually doesn't last long. That doesn't mean she'll be back, though.

You could be right and she might stay with the co-worker,
you never know..
In any event, her husband should not take her back..
