Glen Davis can be a force in the NBA but he has to decide what kind of player he wants to be. He has the size to play inside. He has the touch to play on the wing but he is too big to play on the wing. His game is more of a 4 so if he wants to play with his back to the basket it is okay if he stays 290. If he wants to be a jump shooter, he needs to lose about 50 pounds because otherwise he will be an ineffective wing defender. He could probably guard most power forwards and centers in the NBA at 6'9, 290 but he has to decide the type of player he wants to be. I think with his size, and mobility he has the ability to be a 20-10 guy a night in the NBA. If he decides to be a jumpshooter, then he wont make it in the NBA at 290pds. So, only Glen Davis can determine if he makes it in the NBA. The Sky is the Limit.

I do not belive he will be dominate. He became known last year due to the NCAA tournament. He was a very talked about player last year but this year due to injuries hes just a wisper. He is leaving because in basketball, you have to leave while your popular. Look at Patrick O'Bryant. Who? Yeah he led Bradley deep into the NCAA tournament and left. He was a first round pick and is now bench warmer. That is the role that Glen Davis will play. No players ever come out well who are over weight. The players in the NBA are so much faster and they cannot keep up. The comparisions to Tractor Trailer are the best way to discribe what his pro career will be like.

No way, this boy is going to be weak. I can't just tell already. I hope the NBA teams looking at him don't draft him. He's a TRACTOR TRAYLOR from Michigan. The guy was hella weak and Big Baby is going to be the same. Big Baby gets tired easily and can't run up and down the floor, he thinks he's big so he can just dominate over people. That's not the case in NBA.

I think he'll be an ok nba player, but not a dominating one. The ones who will probably go after him are the teams starved for effective big men like New Jersey, Phoenix, and Sacramento

After this season he'll probably drop down to a late first round, early second round pick, but I still think he will have some success in the NBA. He wont be a dominating inside man like Shaq, but he will be a key weapon on some team.

No way, he will be out manned. He is not in good fitness and really killed his draft status by not going last year. LSU had a dismal season this year compared to last year. He is very inconsistent and is not th e"game breaking" player most thought he would be. He walked in Shaq's shoes all through college, but shaq was doninant and was fit, not fat. With some serous exercixe he may get better, but he is not a "great" player. Mark my words...

I think, although I am sure in the long run it will improve his health, he actually regressed losing some weight. I am sure he will learn to score and rebound in the NBA, but I don't see him being a great player- solid, starter, maybe all-star.

No way! He could not even dominate the SEC. He reminds of Sean May from NC now with Charlotte.
Just another 6'9" guy with no perimeter game or handle.

Even if he dominates college ball, he won't do much in the NBA. He will get injured in his rookie year, due to physical fitness.
