He had second AVM develop. He collapsed on the floor shortly after having sex with Maggie and was rushed into surgery. He made it out of surgery and was doing fine. Talking and joking around. He told Brenda he wanted a divorce. At one point everybody went home and Nate told David he should go get some rest too. David said he wanted to keep him company. David fell asleep and was dreaming that he was at the beach with Nate and their Dad. Nate jumped in the ocean and told David he should join him. That's when David woke up and Nate's monitor showed a flatline and Nate had passed. Sad part is Ruth wasn't there at all. She took off without telling anybody and was camping in the woods and didn't have a cell phone so she never got to say goodbye. Very sad. I cried for hours.

supposebly she drowned. but the plot was twisted after her body was founded, because nate when to give david a book that his dead wife sister daughter had given him to give to david. inside was a picture of nate's wife wearing the exact clothing she died with. when nate went to confornt his dead wife sister, her husband, i think his name was hoyt, told him that they had been having a spiritual and sexual affair for many years even before nate was in the picture. then he confessed that he was the last person to see nate's wife alive. when he notice his wife was hearing all this and crying, he pulled a gun from his desk and shot himself in the mouth.

Yeah, they didn't say exactly how, but Nate found out that Lisa was having an affair with her sister Julia's husband, and went to confront him about it. Husband (can't remember his name) told Nate that Lisa went to break it off with him and he was about to say what happened next, I think, when his wife walked in and he shot himself. Augh!

So, Nate thinks Husband freaked out and killed Lisa when she broke up with him, but who really knows.
