I don't think this has any relationship with pregnancy. But still if you want the answer,, so as to run faster and hit the ball. If she wears a long skirt what do you expect her game??

she can play well with that shorts she can move quickly,,,,
if you ask her to wear saree and play..
you shouldn't expect a cup from her for india.
