Why do you want this player on your team?

Hi....my favorite team is the Detroit Lions (and I should get the 10 points just for admitting that, lol). I think they should draft a player that will be an immediate impact. I am hoping for Joe Thomas out of Wisconsin. He is one burly dude and he looks like he can protect Kitna. But I thoroughly expect Millen to do what he wants and not what is best for the team. The bottom line is, unless they can protect the quarterback so that he can throw the ball before he gets knocked to the ground, it is going to be just like last year.

I am an Oakland Raiders fan and they better select JaMarcus Russell with the #1 pick. The arm on that kid is exactly what the Raiders have been looking for. We had the #3 defense (in terms of yardage), so with any sort of offense, this team can bounce back from 4 terrible seasons. The line is to blame for most of the offensive problems (having a coach whose last job was managing a bed and breakfast did not help either), so if we trade away the #1 pick, we need to use those picks to shore up the O-line, and pick up a QB in a trade. If the Raiders somehow manage (which I'll admit is entirely possible) to screw up this draft, the Raider Nation will have to wait until Al Davis dies before anything resembling an NFL team (at least offensively) will take the field in Oakland.

Miami Dolphins~ I've been watching closely there looking to trade up to the # 2 spot( they have 9 picks so far) in hopes that the raiders will pass on Calvin Johnson and grab him. Calvin Johnson possibly the best player in the draft and 1 of 2 positions we need to fill.

how ever if they do get the spot and miss him(grab Calvin) a QB is the next slot we need filled and Russel and Quinn did visit last week in Miami for a private meeting.
Trent Green talks
this is the reason i think that the move on Trent Green i so slow. plus still no word on culpepper. I know he is mobile and working out but not sure how long we'll wait to test the knee again.

Ricky will be back, he did his year . he'll petition to be reinstated ,i don't believe he'll miss any games.

Raiders Fan

I dont want them to draft Russell because our OL is horrible and he will end up being a Joey Harrington and loose all his confidence.

I want them to draft Joe Thomas but after they trade down a few picks. Hes 6'6 311 and runs a 4.8!!!! Also draft some 2nd round offensive linemen.

We have a new coach. Just signed Rhodes and Griffith and LaMont will be healthy. A good OL will establish our run. That leads to the QB (and yes Walters can get the job done with a good OL) being able to have some time to throw his passes instead of running for his life. That leads to some play action -> Moss for 6.

Minnesota Vikings and I hope Brady Quinn falls to the number 7 spot and the Vikings go after him! I have seen Kiper's projected picks a bunch of different times and as it changes for most teams it stays the same for my Vikes and it is a horrible pick! Ted Ginn Jr.? Are you kidding me? If they do that they should just Hire Matt Millen next year so they can go for another Wide Out 2008 draft like he has done for the Lions! The Vikings do not need another WR they need a QB

First of all the draft is April 28th and not in June, but my favorite team is the Steelers and I look for them to choose one of two players. If they decide to go defense, I think they will choose OLB Lawrence Timmons out of Florida State only because I think PSU's Paul Posluszny will be gone by their 15th pick. Timmons has the speed (4.6 in 40) and size (6'1" 234lbs.) to help replace Joey Porter. He also is rated as the 2nd overall best LB in the draft. If however they decide to go after a WR to help Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes, I hope they go after Dwayne Bowe of LSU who should still be available at #15. Bowe is a sure-handed receiver who has size (6'2", 221) and good route running ability to get open especially in the red zone. Either one of these guys will help the Steelers immediately.

I'm a lifelong Packers fan and their offense needs some fire power. I hope they snag Marshawn Lynch and Brian Leonard in the first two rounds. If for some reason Jason Hill lasts til the 3rd round I hope they draft him, if not Andrae Allison.

patriots andi think they will draft paul however you spell his last name from penn state hes a very good linebacker but he will drop a little cuz there 2 other teams looking at him the reason is we need some youth even though right now id say we have the best linebacker corp an it would be great for tedy to teach him.

The Seattle Seahawks with their first pick of the draft and the 55th overall pick... OT Ryan Harris from Notre Dame.

Someone athletic to groom behind Hall of Famer Walter Jones.

Carolina Panthers - LaRon Landry is who I HOPE they would draft ...or Brandon Merriweather...doesn't matter to me, they're both monsters at Safety.

But I honestly think they're going to pick up Greg Olsen instead.....Carolina is a defensive team, it seems unnatural for us to draft offense in the first round two years in a row....whatever. If they help us win more games, keep them coming.
