You need to use cold therapy. Use a cool rag or if it really hurts bad then use a bag of frozen peas or mixed veggies wrapped with a towel. The cold will decrease the swelling and constrict your blood vessels so the throbbing won't feel as bad. If you have any severe bruising with numbness and tingling then you probably hurt yourself pretty bad and should get checked out. Keep heat off of it for at least the first 24 hours. Then you can alternate heat and cold therapy. Rite Aid sells this great heat/cold pack that goes from freezer to microwave and comes with a soft cover for it. Good Luck and be careful with thse doors.

If you go ahead and slam the door on your other hand the pain from the first hand should subside a bit.

Stop slamming your hand in the door, and it will soon feel all better.

use ice wrapped in a towel or something for about 20-30min then off for the same, then back on. It will control the bruising & swelling.
