He was the Governor of New York
Grew up in Hyde Park, along the Hudson River
He was an assistant secretary of the Navy, was vice presidential candidate in 1920 and was Governor of New York.
Yes, he had a dog, Fala.

Challenges - two: The worst depression in US history and World War II. Did a pretty good job on both.
The New Deal restructured much of the economy, and has kept us on track for 70 years.
Biggest: Social Security, best government idea ever
Regrets: Interned Japanese during WW2. He probably didn't regret it, but it was his worst mistake

FDR served from 1811-1902. He was born in Hawaii but grew up in France. Before he was president he was an exotic dancer. He and his wife Jacqueline owned a parrot named Dukey. Famous people during his presidency include David Bowie and Charles Manson. His biggest challenge was the Civil War. His biggest contribution was inventing television and the Internet. His biggest regret was not executing Jeffrey Dahmer.

In 1910 he ran for ny state senator,Was appointed assistant secretary of the navy by woodrow wilson in 1913. 1920 ran for vice president but lost. In 1928 he became the govenor of ny. Attended Harvard university,columbia law school. Was a lawyer.

Pearl Harbor Dec 7 1941 the japenese bombed pearl harbor destroying most of it killing more than 2, 400 american military and personell.

The Depression. a quarter of the workplace was unemployed. Farmers were in big troubleas prices fell by 60 %.Industrial production had fallen by half since 1929. 2 million were homeless. The banking system had fallen completly.

The 1st 100 days roosevelt sent congress a record number of bills all which passed easily. He came up with Th Federal Emergency Relief Administration: was to get rid of adult unemployment.
Civilian Conservation Corps: which hired 250,000 unemployed young men to work on rural local projects.
Federal Trade Commisssion: which provided mortgage relief to million of farmers and homeowners.
Agricultural Adjustment Administration: force higher prices for commidies by paying farmers to take land out of crops and to cut herds.
Securities and Exchange Commisiion:created to regulate wall street.
