you think there for you are

You don't. That's the beauty of it all. Obviously, I do not know you or anything about you, but never take for granted that anything you read anywhere is true, accurate, or reliable. If someone makes a claim and offers no compelling reason for you to accept it as true, other than the strength of their word, they're asking you to ground your belief in an assumption that probably won't stand against the rigor of logical analysis. If what they claim has no rational basis in reality, you need go no further with them than you already have.

Well you don't, but there are measures taken due to this. Your question is open to everyone, so if one smart aleck wants to play a rude joke on you, he won't be able to because others will probably answer differently (and not everyone is out to get you). The usefulness of Yahoo! Q&A comes from the number of people that can answer your question. You get insight from many points of view (there may not be one true and accurate answer), and they are only reliable in the sense that you keep in mind that someone's answer may be written with the mind of a child or that of an old man.

Actually, the response to the questions are just like anything you get by E-mail--you should doubt everything! Most of the answers you will receive will be opinions rather than reliable sources for quoting. If you are able to check the credentials of the source. I have none, so you can take this answer with a grain of salt. I will say this though: if someone takes the time to answer your question, chances are they feel confident in providing an appropriate answer and therefore their ideas present an honest attempt.
