I am a teenager in high school. I have always been overweight, and it runs in my family, both of my parents are overweight. Anyway, back in Sept. I decided to do something about it. I have since lost about 50lbs. It has helped a great deal and has gotten me back down to being able to fit in juniors clothing! Anyway, Everyone is always telling my parents that I could be a model. I really dont think I could. I personally think I am very ugly. Everytime I look in the mirror.. I think yuck! I am about 5'6" and have blue eyes and long brown hair. I have a guy friend who thinks that when I return to public school, that within the first week.. I am going to have guys waiting in line to date me. I highly doubt that. I have like no confidence in myself whatsoever. Also, I dont have friends who are girls.. all of my friends are guys.. I just cant seem to get along with girls at all.... and I dont know why.. So what does that say about me? Is that bad? Help Me! Please?!?

I think its really hard having girls as friends sometimes because of jealousy isues. I was the same way but my mom always said that "you cant have guys as friends". Anyways if youre not confident you should really listen to peoples complements and know that they are telling you the truth. Congrats on losing the weight and by doing that you have improved your life greatly! If YOU think you should model......THEN DO IT! Dont worry you confidence level will change drastically as you get older...trust me!

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I think you need to get some self-confidence and think positive about yourself. It's ok to not have any friends who are girls. There was a time when most of my friends were guys too. I think I still have more guy friends than girls friends. There's nothing wrong with that. Congrats on your weight loss too. Just try to boost your self-esteem.
