when I was younger I had a very nice gentlemen that I now can look back and realize he was my sugar daddy. I will always hold a warm and loving place for him in my heart. I learned alot form him as my dad died when I was 13 and so he showed me the kind of social skills I did not get to learn as a young girl but a young women. Just curious what most people think of a sugar daddy. We were not sexual . Very close emotionally and spiritualy.

I think the proper definition of a "sugar daddy" is one of a sexual involvement between a younger woman & an older gentleman.

In that case, I can maybe say I had two "sugar daddies" in my life; the first one had the immense pleasure & opportunity to steal my precious cherry (he was 18 years older than myself) and the second one became my first husband (he was 14 years my senior) but none of those men were particularly generous towards me in any way, shape or form so maybe I shouldn't call them my "sugar daddies" after all but rather two "dirty old men" who took advantage of me!!!

Hope this answers your question!

P.S. I also lost my own father at the same age as yourself but not through bereavement, luckily, rather through divorce. He then moved overseas and I didn't get to see him as much as I used to, for obvious reasons. I remained with my mother and I can honestly say that my parents' divorce totally ruined my relationship with my father. To this day (26 years later), we still aren't close as we were before the break-up of our family.

That's not a sugar daddy. A sugar daddy supplies you with all your material needs and desires in exchange for sex. What you described sound like a great and loving friendship. You are so lucky to have had a man like this in your life.

He wasnt ur sugar daddy if ur werent sexual.
A sugar daddy is a man who financially supports u to some degree or in every aspect and in return, has the option to visit as he wishes. The visit usually consists of sexual gratification.

No its disrespectful! My boyfriend is 14 years older than me so he earns more beneficial and has a more beneficial useful automobile/homestead and so on so he treats me a lot!! that's extremely very very fantastic. yet I do loooooads back for him too. I cant have the funds for bit extravegant gestures like him (he took me to Cuba) yet I filled (and that i me filled) his homestead with love heart formed balloons very last week for no reason except i respect him and savor all he does for me! also the time period sugar daddy assumes your in undemanding words with the man for the money and that in go back you've sex with them basically.... glorified prostitution!

They are okay i guess if you want one and are into that... My sugar daddy is my husband:) He spoils me rotten and is my best friend at the same time and i learn so much from him. You were very lucky to have had someone like that in your life. You will always have fond memories of him and that is a good thing. to me he seems like he was your best friend and like a father figure to you. It is great that you had that special connection to him while you were young. It is nice to have people like that in our lives.

usually the term sugar daddy does mean a sexual relationship. Your relationship was quite unique. In my opinion, I don't really see that either way it makes any difference if both of you get something positive out of it and nobody gets hurt.

Well usually when someone says sugardaddy it means a much older man who pretty much takes care of you(money) and you take care of him(sex) which I think is pathetic and degrading but it sounds more like he was some sort of father figure so theres nothing wrong with that if there was no intimacy involved.

We'll sure, If I have a ton of cash and an ITCH for STRANGE then yes, I'll be a sugar daddy. Long and hard and frequently.
