Hello! I would think you'd need not to underline the word Bible, though if you are presenting a paper in style... I'd recommend having a cover page with the word(s) BIBLE or THE BIBLE in all caps and bold lettering to add distinction to it. If I were to write such an essay, I'd have THE BIBLE totally centered (and caps). Writing an essay on the bible would take an exhaustive working. In a nutshell, the Old Testament was looking and pointing to The Cross, while the New Testament looks back at The Cross. Putting the Testaments as well as all of time on a timeline, the connecting link is Jesus the Lamb who came before the foundation of the world. The Bible is a revealing of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world and the Coming King who'll put satan to total defeat with his neck under the foot of Jesus as the King of Glory! Good luck and go for it.

No, it doesn't. It's one of those anomalies. Just say The Bible. However, if you're quoting from a specific edition, definitely underline that, such as "The Holy Bible: New International Version." By the way, I assume you said "underlined" because you're putting it in a bibliography or something for school. But if you're working for a newspaper, The Bible would just be capitalized while any specific edition would be in quotes.

Since it is such a common piece of conversation the bible is not underlined, but is always capiutaliezed, and so are the books of the bible.

Depends on the Citation style you are using. With MLA, I think you have to either underline or italicise. Might want to double check that. But yes you do.
God bless you
