Write it off and move on. You'll get screwed again. By the way......Wake up.

In addition to filing a complaint, make sure you keep track of all the legal documents/agreements both parties have signed and the timeline of the situation (when he agreed to do the job, the times you contacted him, etc.). Hopefully he hasn't changed his phone or address either.

Call the American Bar Association in your area and file a complaint...then call another lawyer and get a consultation on suing for legal malpractice.

Yea, I really feel sorry for you. In San Antonio, Texas, they had one lawyer disbarred. It was something like he gave his client $5000 for a settlement. But somehow the client found out it was big like $50,000. She was to really have gotten like $35000. Crooks, crooks, and more crooks.

Like they say get a lawyer and google the Amercian Bar Association as to what you have to do. I never have been in this position so good luck.

If you believe that attorney did not do the work you asked him to, file a complaint with the local state bar.
