yes, if you have infrared on your computer

it would be easier, and faster, to get a bluetooth adapter for your PC and using sony ericsson pc suite, which is free on their website.

Highly doubt your PC has infra red. Bluetooth adapters are about 40 bucks, a sony data cable is about 20, and Sony PC suite is free on Sony's site. However it would be a lot easier and cheaper to MMS (like text )the pics and video to your e-mail address.

Just read the computer manual and the phone manual on how to set it up. One person said that bluetooth is better, but what if you do not have bluetooth and then they do not mention you have to buy a receiver to get the bluetooth for the computer.

So in your case you just have to get the drivers and hop to it.

linking 2 IR devices is not as easy as using bluetooth.
whenever i have tried it, the two IR recievers have needed to be VERY close before they would 'talk'
this is where a lot of people think the IR is not working....because it will not pick another device up even a foot or less away, i have had to have them almost touching and even then 'square on' to each other, any angle and they did not want to know.
if you get them to see each other then copying files and fotos is easy.
