I've got the curiosity to know how long it takes to print and distribute millions of copies to the readers.

A publisher doesn't typically print millions of copies of a book unless it's guaranteed to sell millions - like the Harry Potter books.

It depends entirely on the editing process. It can take a long time to edit a book sometimes. Other authors like Patterson manage to punch out 4 or more books a year. Also you are leaving out a step. A publisher doesnt distribute books to readers. There is a distributor involved. A Middle Man. Books are warehoused at distributors and shipped to stores as ordered. Pax - C.
