The Xbox 360 unlike the PS3 is not Wi-Fi out of the box. There is a special wireless signal receiver you can buy for the 360.The wireless network adapter as it is called is 99.99 at Ebgames.Which I'm sorry to say is very expensive, now that is the Microsoft product. There is a Linksys wireless game receiver that you can get at places like Wal Mart that is about 40 to 50 dollars.Which is alot cheaper than the Microsoft product.
Make sure you check the box of the Linksys wireless signal receiver because they make an identical looking one for PC's only and that one will not work for the 360.The one that is compatible with the 360 says Xbox ready on the box.

Wifi ready just means that you can use wifi with it. But you still have to buy an adapter for it to work. Here is a site on some pros and cons for the xbox adapter.

Or you could always bridge it for multiple gaming systems
