that they stay in the fan area? is that normal &
even if you delete the email & not click on it they still go in the fan area?

They will remain a fan, even if you do not accept them as a contact. You cannot delete that.
Ausblue, look at it as an honour to have someone wanting to be your contact.
They like your answers and/or questions.
It doesn't come any better than that.
I think Yahoo may have more features in the pipeline, private network and such. This contact/fan feature is surely a work in progress! Stay tuned.............

well, you go to edit my info and then you go to where it says sharing and then you un mark the box where it says:
Allow other Answers users to be my fan. It's nice to be popular! Give others the ability to easily find me and the latest work on my site including my questions, answers and stars.
or you can always do this...
Notify me via email when someone becomes my fan.
i took that off of mine had some crazy girl bothering me.

I am sooo confused. Like what is going on. It was easier befor when you knew who you liked to answer the Q's from and didnt have all this stuff to deal with. Have a cup of tea.

They're your fan. The only way they will be removed is if they remove you as their contact. You cannot remove fans. You can only remove contacts.

Because fans are people who have added you as contacts. They only become your contacts if you reciprocate. But they can remain your fans.

So far I think there is nothing you can do to get rid of a fan.

If they are your "fan", that means they have added you to their "contacts". Just because you removed them from your contacts, it doesn't mean they have removed you from theirs.

they are fans until you add them as a contact and then they appear in both boxes

Because they havne't removed you, until they do, they wil always be in your fans section.
