I think a 396 Chevy V-8 would just be balanced by having a balanced crank.. no extra balancers that I know of like the gear or chain driven ones used on modern 4 and V6 engines.

Your motor is internally balanced as well as all 427's. The externally balanced big blocks started with the 454 on up to the new 572.

It is possible to internally balance the 454 motors by drilling the crankshaft counter weights and pressing in heavy mallory metal. Its a task and not too reliable except for racing applications.

Your 396 is externally balanced as are all big block and small block Chevys.

i own a shop and it should be internally,all though i have seen on spin a balance before ,and it got real bad shake in it until we got another one for it,but there supposed to be internally balanced,good luck,hope this helps.

authentic morality is generated internally and from a easy prefer to be a good man or woman, alongside with rational questioning and valid reasoning. fake morality is often generated from the argumentative fallacy of "could makes splendid," and leads to a mindless resign to unjust regulations and an undue worship of those in authority, IMO.
