If you suddenly found yourself in the middle of knowhere in a place that you are not familiar with and have never been there, and ten men started walking toward you; would you prefer these men to be religious or not?

What?!?!
I wouldn't care what their religion was. I would just care that they intended me no harm.
I've been in situations where many strangers were coming my way; I've never stopped to think, "Man I hope they are the praying type."
The last time it happened to me, I'm pretty sure they were all Catholic (I was in Italy). That didn't work out too well. I didn't stay around too long after I understood their intentions. But I really didn't care about their religion at the time and whenever I dwell on the experience, I never think about their religion in hindsight.
It's a non-factor.

I would hope its a religious country, since religious countries that enforce hardcore religious rules have way way less crime. I live in a country that hangs drug dealers and importers, as a result very very very few people are drug users or addicted, due to severe penalties like death or 40 years hard labour or my favorite daily whippings combined with hard labour. Since we started doing this drug use has gone down. If they were religious I would not be worried.

I would prefer they NOT be religious. Religious people are just as dangerous as worldly people. God doesn't want people to get religious, just real.

That would be last thing I would be concerned with. I would only be concerned with what they wanted from me. Did they want to help me or hurt me? Good people come in all shapes, sizes, and faiths, and so do bad people.
