Trigger didn't move? there are two possabilaties, first something in your gun broke and is jaming the gun, more likely the safty is switched on, or the safty is broken and stuck in the on possition.

You need to find out the manufacturer and model of the gun. This way it will easier to answers question in the future.
Some thoughts, Double check your safety and make sure that it is not stuck when changing from auto to semi-auto. The other thing is that the quality of the type of rounds you are using. Sometimes when you pay for cheaper quality BB's you can find burrs or debris that transfer into the gun from the clip or mag. If possible, ensure, that the gear box and barrel are secure and in their correct place. Also check your hop-up if you have one. If so, reduce it all the way down. Read your owner's manual for information on how to do this.

The battery could be low, from what you've described. It's not getting enough power to send off the pellet. Try a new battery, send the gun back and get a refund if that doesn't help. Good luck.

take out the clip, and look into the chamber, there should be some bb's stuck at the top of the chamber
most of the guns that i have had go nuts when you put it on full auto and some get loose and bullets can get stuck in the chamber

my auto does that once in a while too. flip over to automatic and fire a few shots then try semi. sometimes when firin auto when you let off the trigger the gun mechanism freezes halfway between shots and that messes up the semi. try that out and see if it works.

My m4 will do that from time to time also. Either your battery is low, or the gun has jammed, or your safety is not coming off. Recharge your battery and then try again. if it is still not working, your safety is stuck and that takes some work. try what i said and post another question if it does not work saying your "safety is stuck".

my brother is an airsoft junkie, he said check the magazine or the feed hopper, he had the ak-47 airsoft and the magazine spindle inside would get stuck from time to time. or you can try a search of the airsoft websites for help and troubleshooting.
