"B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bombs)" is the debut single for System of a Down's fourth album Mezmerize. It is a play on the phrase "Bring Your Own Booze" or "Bring Your Own Beer". It is a highly politically charged song and was written to protest the Iraq War. The song was the band's only Top 30 hit. The line "Why do they always send the poor?" echoes a similar insight posed by filmmaker Michael Moore in his documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 about a significant number of soldiers serving in the Iraq War hailing from poor backgrounds.

B.Y.O.B. = Bring Your Own Booze
I think it was from a Britney Spears party. How else do you explain this girl's behavior?
Or perhaps it was from Paris Hilton: Bring Your Own Boyfriend!

It's an anti-war song -- or at least that it shouldn't be the poor being sent off to fight, and that the Iraq war is mainly about oil. Bring Your Own Bombs...

there's a blog discussing the song's meaning here http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=3530822107858536601
