on the right.
It's not me, it's some girl I found online. She's the same size as my friend, and I'm curious if other people see this as fat, or just curvy.
What should I say to my friend to reassure her?

I just wanted to add that, since apparently some of you can't read:
This is not me.
This is not my friend.
This is the SIZE (abouts) of my friend.
Even if it WAS me, it doesn't matter, because I think the girl in the picture is pretty.

If I was going to use the 'It's for a friend' excuse, I would have entirely cut out the middle man and just said 'hey, this is a picture of my friend.'
I just think it's rude what some of you said.

NO SHE IS NOT FAT
This country is so obsessed about size!
I would call her Rubenesque (from the painter Ruben) All his portraits of women were voluptuous. Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 at the height of her popularity and she is still considered one of the sexiest women ever.
Help your friend find clothing that flatters her figure and she will feel better about her looks. Also, how she perceives herself is how others will see her too.

Well honey, since I'm pretty sure that it is really you in the picture (I need advice for my "friend" is a classic line) all I have to say is that you already know the answer. If you're so worried about it perhaps you should take a more proactive approach than seeking anonymous consolation from a bunch of strangers on the internet.
On the off chance that you really are asking about someone else, get a life.

I don't think she is fat. I do think about 10 - 20 crunches per day would help her obtain a more curvaceous figure. She is, a pretty girl.

She looks like she could stand to lose a few pounds, but at least her body seems pretty well proportioned. I just wonder why you feel the need to reassure her about anything.

Well not really, but a girl her size shouldn't wear shirts that show her belly!

yeah. that's fat.. and pretty unhealthy.. you should kindly and sensitively suggest weight loss.. fat people make me so mad. especially when i see them shoving more food in their faces.. i know a girl who complains all the time about how fat she is, but she gets burgers and fries and cake as a second dinner.. it makes me so mad.. i just want to throw her on a tread mil

Okay, um, you should tell this "friend" (I'm guessing that's really you in the picture) that she's not "fat" but she could stand to lose a couple of pounds......
