I bet Durant will go to the NBA and get drafted by the Celtics...but if he would stay i think Durant, Augustin, and Abrams can carry Texas to the Elite 8 maybe the final four. Hook'em

Its not even worth answering the "if so how far will texas go" part. I feel him coming back for another will not help in at all. What more can he do at the college level. I feel that between Durant and Oden, ODEN should stay another year if either. Durant is more of a complete player who at this moment is more ready for the NBA. Not saying in 5 years he still will be. Oden is an amazing defender but could use another year to improve his offensive game. Or else he might not turn into the next "Patrick Ewing" who could score 30 in a game but the next "D Howard" who with a couple years of experience is still struggling scoring but being a tremendous defender and rebounder.

Even if Durant stays...i don't think they'll win the championship next year unless they recruit some more great players. I think he'll go to the NBA. Millions of dollars is just too hard to pass up. If he gets hurt seriously next year, he might not make anything. Look at what happened to Shawn Livingston...you could get hurt at anytime. Take the money

Durant will go to the NBA, and so will Oden, they have nothing to gain by staying in NCAA, their stock is as high as its going to get and they shouldnt risk it by staying in collage longer, take joakim noah, a top 3 pick last year, and now this year he will be lucky to be a top 10.

He's not staying. He would be an idiot if he did. Look his draft stock isnt getting any higher. If he declares for the draft he without a doubt will be the number one pick. He's not gonna come back to Texas where he has a shot at getting injured or underachieving (if he comes back he's gonna have HUGE goals set for him). Even if he does come back, I still think it's a longshot for Texas to win it all.

Durant should stay. He hasn't learned how to share the basketball and there's only room for one Kobe in the NBA.

he allready has a 65 million dolalr contract if he leaves, so let me think, a young boy, right out of highschool, hmmmm, i think he is gonna go for the money, wouldnt anyone? why would u risk getting hurt, or having a so-so season, and loose money, case in point, glen davis...aka...big baby, last year, he had an amazing season, and scouts were lookin at him, and he was lookin at top 5 pic, this year, he gets hurt, has okay season, team doesnt make NCAA tourny, look for him to slip to second round
