maybe i an help. i am former US Navy, and my husband is a chief. He is leaving next month for deployment. From expereince, i can tell you TRUST is the key. You have to be able to trust eachother or this isnt going to work. You both need to understand that you have to support eachother. He will feel as if your life is alien, and you will feel the same about his. but if you listen t him and he listens to you and you both make the effort to understand what the other is going through, you will survive. Find something new about eachother each day, and use that to keep you connected. you both will be under alot of stress, and he might not realize what stress you re under being left behind. I have been deployed myself, and it isnt a cake walk. It is very stressful and he may just want to vent..
My advice:
Communicate!!
Trust!!!
Listen to eachother!
