i have a desktop computer hooked up to a belkin wireless G router and for some reason it will not load any internet pages. i have searched yahoo answers and alot are similar but none are exactly the same problem as mine. i am on a laptop which is on the wireless network, and that tells me that the internet is working fine. but the computer that is connected to the comcast modem and router is not getting access. p.s. the internet has been working fine before and this started happening this afternoon

Firstly try to ping the router, if successful, try to ping any other computers on the network..

try this too, open IE- tools - internet options - connections - lan settings - auto detect

all the best..

My default recommendation for you would be to power-cycle your entire network. All routers, modems, and PCs; turn them all off and turn them back on. The next thing you should try is taking the cable that is plugged into the router from the modem and plug it into the laptop (clarification: connection should be directly from the modem to the computer) and see if a webpage will display. If it doesnt, your modem is to blame. If it displays correctly, plug an ethernet (most are blue) cable into the router and plug it into the computer (connection would be modem > router > computer). If you have connection there, then it is the wireless portion of the router. If this is the problem, post a seperate question.
