too bad ...soo sad !! look at the cosmetic industry alone...billions of $$ spent to impress someone else !

You know, my mother always said "what will other people think?". Although she was a wonderful woman, that was a very sad way to think, and I spent much of my life worrying about what others thought about me - especially if they were wrong about me and were judging me unfairly. Now, I could care less what most people think about me. I just try to be the best I can be and I accept myself as I am. The only people whose opinions of me matter to me, are those who I admire and respect. As for worrying about my looks, well, I am 45, still slim and have been told I am attractive. Still, I fight fine lines, dry skin, the occasional gray hairs that I have to color back to my natural color, and the 5-10 pounds I'd like to lose. Sure, it would be nice to get some cosmetic fixing up so that I would look better, and if it could be done cheaply and without looking phony, I would surely consider it - but not because I care what others think about me, but because it's sometimes hard to grow older gracefully and I would be doing it for me.

I don't try to impress others, but I'm a sensitive person and I do care what others think of me sometimes. Oh, and I never wear makeup.

deep down, i think everybody is self consious but at the end of the day ya gotta learn to say "forget everybody, this is me!"
every morning i wake up look in the mirror and say "thats a fly guy there" to remind myself. also, i dont need makeup, i just use clearasil for occasional acne

Not on here I don't Oh well sometimes I get upset at a few folks on here but usually I don't Actually I got rid of all that nonsense makeup!
