No, I don't hate the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Especially since, until a week ago, there was a really good chance they would've become the Kansas City Penguins, or worse yet, the Las Vegas Penguins. That would've been horrible.
And besides, Crosby, Malkin, Jordan Staal, that team not only just has talent, but they are fun to watch. I could state my favorite teams and whatnot, but that doesn't matter. Everybody here should be glad that the Penguins are staying in Pittsburgh, including Flyers fans.

OK a few points, the Pens fans aren't Cocky. The BANDWAGON ones tend to be, but look at the Sabres for that as well. I'm a Pens fan and seriously I say the best we do is Conference Finals, you may say it is Cocky to think we will get through two rounds but it isn't. It is realizing this team plays good together and that they have AHL playoff experience from last year, not the NHL playoffs but better then nothing. Anyway I have against hating the Pens just because you are a Flyers fan, although I don't really get it. I'm a Pens fan and honestly I don't care about the Flyers. Now the Bruins, I HATE the Bruins. So you know I can see hating a team based on who you are a fan of. Besides we won when it mattered. I admit the Flyers were getting better in the last few games but hey that's what made winning them feel good.

It's ok to be a diehard fan for your favorite team. I'm a diehard Penguins fan. Grew up watching the Pens when I lived in Pittsburgh for 26 years and I order Center Ice so I can watch only the Pens now that I live in Arizona. I wouldn't say that all of our fans are cocky...we're just supporting our team, like you do...no matter what.
But, the Penguins team is amazing this year. Sidney Crosby is amazing this year. Malkin and Staal are amazing this year. It's nice to have that feeling like you support a great team. It was hard for us last season because the Pens were terrible. But if you support a team, you can't be a fair-weather fan. 1st place or 32nd place...they are "your" team. You can't hate them for improving and playing well...
I could sit here and say that I hate you because you're a Flyers fan and they suck this season, but that's not cool. It just didn't work out for the Flyers this year...maybe next season, right?
Let's Go Pens!!!

I'm pretty sure the Penguins fans are cocky with Flyers fans because they swept them this season. And considering that most Philly sports fans turn on their teams everytime they lose a game, they can't exactly complain.
Oh you may have guess... I'm from Pittsburgh and I was raised to hate the Flyers, nothing personal. Plus I live at Penn State so I have to deal with lots of people from Philly (mostly Eagles fans this year, since most of the Flyers fans have vanished)

I hate Crosby, too. It is the ultimate compliment in sports. I am a diehard Red Wings fan. I love it when people hate them. It means we're good. So many people hate Crosby that it can only mean one thing... he's the best in the league. I'll tell you one thing, there are not a lot of people on here complaining because they hate Alexander Picard or some other nobody. I'm not too sure why so many Pens fans are so upset about it. They're lucky to have such a despised player on their team. That's sports for you!

I hear you my friend. I too am a diehard Flyers fan. I hate Crosby for the same reasons, the fact that he is an immature, ******. I maintain he's a great player, but he doesn't have the maturity to be the type of player the media is making him out to be. Pittsburgh fans are just as cocky as Flyers fans, it's good to see a city get behind their team. I guess it only happens in Pittsburgh when you're winning, because you almost lost your beloved Penguins due to poor attendance (amongst other reasons)! What's gonna happen in 2-3 years when all your young guns leave the 'burgh for better contract offers? They'll move the team to KC for real this time.

I'm a diehard Pens fan. I have been ever since they wore Blue & White, and had players like Ron Stackhouse, Randy Carlyle, and Rick Kehoe. I'm not cocky, just appreciative. I'm glad we have something to cheer about after all those years of bad teams. Anyone who remembers Pat Boutette, Gary Rissling, Paul Gardner, and Paul Baxter knows what I'm talking about. I'm over my hatred of the Flyers, because there's no one to hate there anymore. I hated Tim Kerr, couldn't stand Ron Hextall, and wanted Eric Lindros to die. If you hate the Pens so much, that's great. It just means they're getting better. Would you hate them as much if they were dead last?

Why on Earth do you hate Crosby?
A true hockey fan would appreciate the skill he has.
But I'm probably just saying that because I'm a diehard Ranger fan and we hate Flyer fans! (joking!)

Some humans will, as humans do for something, however I'd say just a teensy-weensy percentage. And it might almost always be extra 'Yeah, I hate them, I consider. Meh.' than 'OMG they is the evilz! I shall ruin all of them!' besides. :P P.S. I love penguins. They're depraved!

I don't know that I "hate" them as much as wish their fans and the NHL would shut up already!!!!!!!!!!!!
To hear them tell it, Crosby is the greatest player in the History of the NHL, Malkin is comparable to Messier, this team will certainly win the Stanley Cup, and no other team exists.
Reality Check folks.
Crosby is in his second year, has not had a 150 point season yet and won't this year, Malkin is a Rookie, this team is in FOURTH in the CONFERENCE last I looked, and there are 29 other NHL teams, some of which have BETTER records.
Not that they don't have a bright future, but let them actually ACCOMPLISH something, and I will give them some more respect.
