I really need to start going to the gym? And a minute later, you thought, "no, I have to lose some weight first!"
Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?
And I have to confess, one that I used to go by all the time...
(weight lost now! never stepped a foot in the gym, though)

I say all the time that I need to go to the gym--I was on a roll, too for a while there and was quite proud--toned and everything. Then I had a baby and have to start over. But I do think about doing the treadmill at home first before going out in public and working out--I don't want to look like I NEED to be there. lol

Some people feel uncomfortable going to a gym when they're big as a house. You can always use exercise tapes at home to help you lose weight. Then when you're somewhat comfortable with your weight, you can start going to the gym.

Honestly, I used to be fat.
But I lost the weight by learning to eat right, and exercising.
All I really did was run.

I really wish fat people would have a better excuse than that.
The entire reason to go to the gym is to get yourself into better shape.

NO ONE is going to think badly of you because you're fat!
They'll be inspired if anything, thinking to their self... "That's nice, I'm glad to see that they're finally getting off the couch and doing something about their health!"

Nope, can't afford to go to the gym and don't need to. Jogging, dancing in your livingroom, going up and down your stairs, along with aerobics will get that weight off, and a balanced diet will make sure you feel good while you do it.
Who needs a gym, what a waste of perfectly good money........

Yep, done that. or you go to the gym with your friend because you are bound and determined to be each others support to make sure you keep going and then go out to eat afterwards.

Yes, you caught me. I have a bad leg, so swimming would be best for me. I have a pool & the ocean within a few min drive! What's my excuse? I look bad in a bathing suit, so I can't go swimming. If I did, I'd look better????
