My son's room is a mess, clothes everywhere, and dishes, cups, he's 13, and my mom said to let him keep his room the way he wants, but, it's getting to be too much, we had two gray "mice?"with a long tail come into the house, it took 4 little blocks of blue decon to kill them, you could see where they were chewing on it.
I saw one of them, just running around and around in circles, it couldn't stop, is that what Decon does?
And is it a rat or a mouse? I've never seen a mouse with such a long tail?

It's a mouse problem. If you think that the poison you're using is not working I would buy another one. Also mice and rats carry diseases if they're not pets, so you might want to get them out of there and get his room cleaned before he gets some strange disease and gets really sick. Yeah he can keep his room the way he wants, but it should be a clean room with the furniture the way he wants it. A 13 year old boy should be keeping his room clean, he's at that transitioning period where he's really into girls. So pursuade him by saying that a lot of girls like boys with clean rooms and good hygiene. If that doesn't work then just enforce it upon him. If he has friends over a lot of he likes to hang out with friends ground him from doing so. Think of something he really enjoys and take it away from him until his room is clean.

no decon does not do that to mice. if it is big with a thick tail then it is a rat. you will need to get a different type of rodent killer. get one that will kill rats. the next thing to do is to get your son to clean his room because if he doesn't the rats will stay and do more damage to the room. with the room being dirt the way it is that is an invitation for them. the only thing to do is to clean the room and then put out rat bait, it will take about 1-2 weeks before they are gone. good luck

Nope, it's a Rat. Don't worry, like he said, get a cat, or get a snake. Something that'll eat him. Good Luck with that. We had a mouse once, my dog played with him. It was weird, so we picked up the rat and put him outside. See, you can get rid of a rat without killing or eating him! =)
