Are there any online games that feature monster battling/capturing like pokemon or digimon but are more mature

Looking for online games, preferably web-based, that allow you to battle and catch monsters like in pokemon and digimon but with a more mature theme.

There was a couple for the original PlayStation. Jade Cacoon 1+2. and Dragon Seed. Dragon seed was an awesome game
