You can always go to an alternative school it is way quicker and half day, you will graduate in half the time, much easier!

I'll have a double cheeseburger, ketchup only.

Hehe. It's called perseverance and integrity. You should always finish what you start. If you're 17, you're almost done. Just stay with it. I was in the IB Program, and I hated it. But I sucked it up and rode it out. Now, I'm an Environmental Chemist, and I make mad-money, and have an awesome house on the beach.

Here's how it works:
My dad never finished high school. He dropped out. He has always been a fisherman since then. He's 57 now, and still does the same thing he did as a young. man. He makes a quarter for every fish he filays. One quarter. 25 cents. No joke. Throughout the years, he's contracted Hepatitis on the job, and has horrific arthritis from the boats.

My mom finished high school, and got a joke-degree in "drama". She said it was a lot of fun. She's now a Senior Vice President at AmSouth Bank. She makes more money than she knows what to do with. She lives in a 2-million-dollar house, and just bought a new 430 Lexus with convertible hardtop.

Satisfy your wants in haste, regret in leisure.

What makes you want to give up after coming so far? You're almost done with high school. Once you graduate you can decide not to continue on to college. I just can't see dropping out now. Your senior year will have less classes if you get these out of the way now. Plus you have much more fun senior year. I know you can argue you don't need school to live a full life. Still you only have one year to go. Why not use that year to find out if school is the best place for you? Think of it like sex. Why get all the way to climax to pull out? Why wait until you're at the peek of finding out if it's good? You might find that the last part of it all is the best part. Why not take the chance of hating your last year. Instead of wondering what if? If you start giving up on the simple things in your life. You will never be able to face the hardships of the real world. Honestly real life is like high school. Filled with annoying people and stupid lessons. You can't give up now you're almost there.

I dropped out and it was the worst thing I ever did. I hated going to school listening to the same thing, looking at the same people, and feeling as if I wasn't getting anywhere. That was cool for a couple years then, I relized that I would proally be flipping burgers for the rest of my life. I still can not find a decent job. Only if I would have hung in there for another year and what is that? 8 months? Of not really that hard of work. Just sitting on your butt listening. Wish I could find something that easy and that rewarding now!

Ok, stop and think about your future. I was 16 when I dropped out. 3 days into my senior year I got fed up with the teachers and the whole school thing. I thought that I could get by with not having my diploma. Boy was I wrong. I got pregnant 5 months later and was sucked into an abusive relationship, then got pregnant again and finally left. I am 25 now and am going to graduate from college with my Associates. I am going back in the Fall to continue to get my Bachelors. My point is, is that you are still young and guessing by your age you are in your senior year. You only have a few more months left and it will be behind you. You will have that diploma and believe me it is worth more than a GED.

Just think about it before you do it. Its not worth it.

Is this a serious question? From a serious person? This must be some kind of computer/bot question. No one in their right mind would be so silly to be misconcepted about what you need nor don't need.Your 17yrs old and the price of living isn't getting any cheaper, unless you have it all figured out(which most teenagers do your age".Then take a good hard look at who you are.Is a drop out who you are?I'm sure its a struggle at times but just think one more yr of putting up with it and allowing yourself to accomplish this will be the ultimate goal for you.I'm sure you have thought of the sacraficies you will be making in the long run.A yr and a half to go,to have many yrs of self happiness.Try your best!! I wish you the best!! I myself dropped out and got a G.E.D later in life and took a couple college classes in my late 20's but when I do look back like they all say,I really would of tried to stick it out.You can live with regret but you can't change it!!

Young man what kind of future do you hope to have? If you drop out and say for instance you get your GED do you know how hard getting a job will be that doesn't use the phrase " would you like fries with your burger." I would think long and hard because it's not just your future but that of your own family when you have one. You can't support a wife and family on the potential income you will make dropping out of school. I suggest talking to your pastor or youth pastor.

Move out of your parents house and get a job and see what it is like to support yourself without an education or skill training of some kind.
College may not be the course for all people, but the very least you can do is finish high school.
You are almost finished, it seems very stupid to not see it through.

I know people who very much regret not finishing high school, and none who regret graduating.

You should at least get a GED. Most jobs require a high school diploma or a GED before they even consider hiring you. If you drop out and don't get your GED, you'll be stuck working crappy, dead-end jobs the rest of your life. You can't even get into the Army without a GED anymore!

all im gonna say is that you are COMPLETELY retarded for wanting this, and i have every reason to say this...i was a good kid back in high school, i attended everyday outside of a few sick days, but other than that i did good. i got bored quick and wanted out of school...i decided hey why not this is going nowhere, so i did and i screwed myself over by doing that.
in todays society most jobs wont even accept highschool diplomas anymore, its getting harder and harder to find a decent job with the "bare miniums"

if you do, just be prepaired to work ten times harder than everyone else for the same resepect.
